Honoring the Body & Nurturing Wisdom at AnandaSoma
What if healing is less about becoming someone new, and more about remembering what has always been there?
Who is this for?
This work may be for you if…
You feel disconnected from your body or find yourself moving through life mostly from the neck up.
You’re navigating stress, burnout, changing hormones, or a season of life that has left you feeling a little out of balance.
Your digestion, sleep, energy, or mood could use some attention, but you’re interested in understanding the why rather than simply managing another symptom.
You’re doing many of the things you know are “good for you,” but still don’t feel quite as grounded, energized, or well as you’d like.
You’re curious about how food, daily rhythms, movement, rest, breath, your environment, and your relationship with yourself all influence the way you feel.
You want holistic support that considers the whole person—not just one symptom, diagnosis, or isolated part of your life.
You’re tired of rigid rules, quick fixes, and one-size-fits-all wellness advice, and want to discover what actually works for your body and your life.
You’re ready to slow down, become more aware of yourself, and develop a deeper trust in your own body's wisdom.
Most of all, you have a sense that your body is trying to tell you something, and you’re ready to listen.
About the process...
The Journey
Working together begins with slowing down enough to really see the whole picture.
01 — The Initial Consultation
90 minutes · In person or virtually
We begin with a deep intake that looks at the many layers of your life—not just what’s bringing you in. We’ll explore your food and digestion, sleep, movement, daily rhythms, relationships, stress, emotions, environment, and the ways you currently nourish and care for yourself. We’ll also talk about your intentions: what you’re hoping to understand, shift, or cultivate through this work.
But this isn’t simply a questionnaire. The time we spend together is an opportunity to create space, slow down, and get to know you as a whole person. We’ll have an open, compassionate conversation, with room to go deeper into the places that feel important to you.
When appropriate, we’ll also incorporate Ayurvedic pulse and tongue assessment, along with a moment of breath, meditation, or quiet awareness—a chance to arrive, check in with yourself, and begin listening inwardly.
02 — Understanding Your Nature
30-minute follow-up call
After our initial meeting, I take time to reflect on everything we’ve explored together through the lens of Ayurveda. We then meet for a 30-minute call to share my findings and begin putting the pieces together.
This is where you’ll learn about your unique constitution and dosha, what it means, and how Ayurveda understands the patterns showing up in your life. We’ll explore how your digestion, energy, sleep, emotions, habits, relationships, and daily rhythms may all be connected—and what Ayurveda has to say about bringing greater balance to your particular nature.
This conversation is also an invitation to ask questions, make connections, and begin seeing yourself through the Ayurvedic lens. I love this part of the process because Ayurveda can offer a surprisingly beautiful explanation for so much of what makes us us.
Together, we’ll decide what kind of support feels right for the next part of your journey.
03 — Continuing the Work
From here, you may choose to continue with an individual follow-up session, either in person or virtually, or embark on a deeper journey through my 5 Levels of Healing package.
The 5 Levels of Healing is an ongoing container for exploring the layers of ourselves through the Ayurvedic and yogic understanding of the koshas—from the physical body toward increasingly subtle dimensions of our being.
We begin with the Annamaya Kosha, the physical body: food, digestion, movement, rest, and the ways we care for and inhabit the body.
From there, we move inward through the layers—exploring breath and energy, the mind and emotions, deeper patterns of awareness, and ultimately the most subtle layer, the Anandamaya Kosha, the layer of bliss and deep inner connection.
Each session meets you where you are, bringing together Ayurvedic wisdom, somatic awareness, yoga therapy, reflection, and practical tools for your life.
The intention is not to rush through the layers or check boxes along the way. It is to create an ongoing relationship with yourself—one that becomes more embodied, aware, and trusting over time.
Private Yoga Therapy & Somatic Yoga
Not everyone is ready to dive deeply into Ayurveda, and you don’t have to be.
I also offer one-on-one yoga sessions for those who are looking for the personalized attention and support of a private yoga teacher. These sessions draw from my training in yoga therapy and somatics and may incorporate movement, supported postures, breath, meditation, body awareness, and client-centered therapeutic dialogue.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your existing yoga practice, work with a particular intention, or simply have a more personal and individualized yoga experience, we can meet you where you are.
You don’t have to know exactly what you need before you begin. That’s part of what we discover together.
